Borderlines

This collection of photographs displays images representative of Borderlines: the contrast between the natural and the artificial. Where nature’s laws and intricate grids of power lines and highways stand side by side.

These photographs illustrate the subtle yet explicit convergences between these two worlds. It considers the extent to which we can control the natural world.
Our relentless subjugation of nature to sustain our cities perpetually transforms the landscape of these environments. Despite our substantial alteration of the existing landscape, nature does not bend to mankind’s will.
Within these borders, exists worlds that collide and interact with each other. The confrontation between a controlled environment and the wilderness becomes apparent.
