PAYTON LAGRONE
Payton LaGrone was raised in Dallas TX and is currently based in Austin TX. After graduating from the University of Texas, she received a BFA in photography, printmaking, and painting. She has worked on a variety of large-scale mural projects and is devoted to pursuing her passion for illustration and furthering her love of the natural world. Her work has been exhibited at ICOSA Collective and is on display at the Visual Arts Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
Payton specializes in photolithography, serigraphy, and painting. Her work focuses on modernity and its environmental impact, considering the daily deconstruction of the natural world around us in order to build our own. Her work is heavily influenced by the modifications made to nature that have caused widespread pollution, decreased biodiversity, and the destruction of wildlife.
